If you are ever in the Buena Vista, Salida, Leadville area of central Colorado this is a great place to climb. There are moderate routes to harder routes at these two spots. The formations are actually across the road from one another, and you can do trad or sport in the area. We did some trad climbing on Bobs Rock. It was alot of fun and you can basically pull your car up to the rock and sit on your bumper/tailgate and belay. I've heard there are other places in the area but I was told this is the easiest place to hit, especially if you want to get a quick climb in.
You can also walk around behind the rock and scramble to the top to set up a top rope, or to run a quick rap if you want. Nice views of the presidentials as well. We did this as a down day beteween peakbagging.
