"Drop of the Hat" Canoe Run

Scouting a Canoe trip for some inexperienced Boy Scouts, Area rain and Thuderstorms forecast for 1600L. A couple of buddies decieded at 1000L, and put in at 1230L on Sycamore Creek at the Bridge on 41A, 2 miles southwest of Pleasant View TN, and made the 8.5 mile run to the Bridge at Old Clarksville Pike. Water was up a little more than normal due to recent rains, and the trip took about 3 hours. The Gravel bar at the base of the bridge on Mt. Zion Road is just shy of half way of a fairly fun early spring. But it would probably be a wet walk during summer months.
