San Juan Nat'l Forest summer '07
June 2007
Pagosa Springs , CO
posted by Hollis the Mountain Man
A solid month of world class fly-fishing. Not the biggest, but definatly made up for the quality with quantity. Me, my two brothers, and my best friend easily caught 100 fish a day. I caught upwards of two, but I AM the best fisherman of the group. When our fingers were raw from repeated stripping, we would hit the mountains for some bouldering.
To get to our sweet fishing we rode in with an outfitter on horseback (saves time and energy, and hes a good friend) We used Hank woth Wolf Creek outfitters (shameless promotion of a friends business)but the trip ca be done on foot and considerably cheaper if you know who to talk to.
If you want to catch oodles of fish in the summer of '08 just give a holler and we'll see if we can work something out. I'm most definatly going back up there. (like I have for the past 18 years).
