Lake Powell resembles the Grand Canyon with water! It is incredible! The canyons and warm water are amazing. It was great for skiing on pure glass. It's a great family trip for bonding time, you stay on a houseboat for about a week to two weeks. The gas prices are steep though, our waverunners broke down so be sure to bring a tow line! We went on great hikes and held campfires every night, one was over 15 feet tall! My uncle was so scared it would burn the Danzi down he sat on the bow all night with a fire extinguisher! Kayaking in spacious canyons was definately another bonus, intense privacy was also another plus. Privacy from other boats that is... privacy from your own family? Forget it.

Geographer		Powell is best! I go there twice each year for some camping, kayaking, fishing, and drinking beer by the campfire. Hope to post a trip report myself soon. (3-10-2009 12:15 AM)
