NOLS Rock and River Trip=Best Time of My Life

I have never ever been so happy in my life. This trip changed me for the better, even though it was cut short by a little accident. Me and hiking do not get along that well, maybe torn ACL, not sure yet. That is besides the point though.
I arrived to Salt Lake on July 9, and met up with everyone. Nice three hour ride to Vernal, UT, and chilled at the hotel for the night. Now, Vernal is an exciting town, booming with oil and natural gas right now...not good at all. Also it is dinny capital of the world. Next morning we headed to the UT base headquarters and the day started from there.
Everyone was sweet, and the instructors or I-team was even better. After we met everyone and all that and get orientated, we headed to the local pool to learn how to roll in the kayaks. I didn't get it that day, but I was hooked. After dinner we went out to the lake and learned how to paddle. It was so much fun.
Next day we headed out to Green River to start the 10 day trip. Long and beautiful drive. Get there and unloaded the 9 or so kayaks, two mini=mes and two oar rigs, along with many other things such as the groover.
I will add more later, but I am so tired.
