Another gorgeous Alaskan day... no better way to spend it than on the water...
The wind was blowing pretty hard on Portage Lake creating a '2-3 foot sea'. It's only 4 or 5 mile round trip, but the half to the glacier was difficult due to the wind. Now, the trip back was a 'breeze'!
Kinda depressing because when the visitor's center was a built a few years ago the glacier was visible from the center. It has no receded back around the corner from the center and you have to take a boat (or wait until winter and skate out there... that's fun too) to see it. But it's still big, if you ask me!
