About Me
I am 16 years old and I live in the second biggest city in Iowa. I love backpacking. I find the preperation for trips to be almost as exciting as the trips themselves. I will backpack anywhere that has occasional or frequent streams. No deserts or sand dune national park for me. I also prefer colder temperatures. You could call me a "northern backpacker." I was influenced by my science teacher,(who is also my varsity wrestling assistent coach), to get into backpacking and now it's pretty mucha all I think about. I want to backpack the Pacific Crest Trail and I want to backpack in Iceland.
I have a pretty close circle of 8 friends who all have some interest in backpacking but it doesnt come close to mine. My family is very well off but they don't spoil me or give me money. However, I am surrounded by materialists and I really just love when I can drop all commitments and be a minimalist in nature.
I look forward to reviewing gear and hikes on this website!
