Where in alaska did you hike? I went last summer for the first time and LOVED it. I want to go back!

Nope I've never heard of that place. The only places I've been are a bunch of places in PA, somewhere in Vermont when I was little, and Steamboat Springs, CO a few times, which was awesome.

Hm, sounds fun. There's not much hiking in the immediate area where I'm at, right in farm country so it's pretty flat. There seems to be some decent hiking to the north and south but haven't gotten there yet.

Hey - winters here aren't bad as long as you stay active. I've had no problem with the darkness esp. now that we are gaining 7 mins a day!! You get used to the extreme cold too - when it gets up to -10 after a week of 40 below, everyone is shedding layers.. it's ridiculous really, but true! Hope this helps - are you thinking about moving up here?

i'm doing marketing/management double major and a spanish minor. it sounds like a lot, but its not too bad so far. and auburn is an amazingggg school. i absolutely love it!
