Hey,I didn't plan the everglades trip so i don't know the exact details but there are a bunch of set routes that they have so its just about figuring out how many days you want to go for and miles you plan on covering and then call up the national park to order some maps. The hostel i stayed at was extremely helpful the website is: http://www.evergladeshostel.com/index.htm. You have to get the permits down there so you don't have to worry about that until then.
