About Me
I am a first year graduate student at Duke University pursuing a Master of Environmental Management in Ecosystem Science and Conservation and a Master of Forestry in Forest Resource Management. I focus on forest, wetland, fire, and landscape ecologies and hope to become a restoration ecologist when I graduate. I spent a few years after college working in the land conservation field in North Carolina and became interested in fire ecology and have been a wildland firefighter for the past three years. In my free time (I dont have much since I started school) I like to hike/backpack, mountain bike, paddle, and set things on fire. This summer I will be working at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps base on a restoration/fire ecology study and will also be working on developing a restoration trajectory some Nature Conservancy lands in Coastal North Carolina.
