Outdoorzy Writers Bulletins

Seeking advice

posted by Fundyguy25 on January 16, 2008

Hey fellow writers,
I am new to the writing world and I only write a column in a local paper. This effort though has allowed me to find a new passion and I wish to expand my writing opportunities. Do any of you have any helpful advice on how to get my work out there. I am not very computer efficient although I can get around. I have not tried blogging yet but may soon try. I would love some insight into this forum.
Thanks for any advice you can give.
Fundy Guy

Only a column in the paper? Sounds like you've got your feet wet for sure... Personally, I like blogging b/c anyone, anywhere can read it - if they can find it. To have a well read blog, simply sign up for a free blog (blogger, wordpress.com, or even outdoorsblogger.com) and write ten interesting posts. Make sure to trade a whole bunch of links (your blogroll) with like minded bloggers. Keep writing, and by the time you have 100 posts you'll get mondo traffic if your content is interesting.
