The Marmot Badlands is exactly what I've been looking for to use in my travels. I need a rugged rain-proof backpack that has the features of a briefcase as well as a daypack. Basically something I could take out to bag a peak, or take to a meeting. Often when I'm traveling for business I'll try to fit in a hike or side trip at my destination. This pack allows that by providing a few key features. A tough, water resistant outer shell, a padded computer pocket, organizer (for pens, mp3 player, candy, etc), a padded sunglasses holder, compression straps, a great backpanel with good padding, and an overall small size and bullet-like shape. It will fit well under an airplane seat, unlike my old pack, and it is high quality. You really could use this for anything from traveling through the airport, to pushing your way through a 12 hour adventure race. Comments
