I've found the set to be a great compromise of size, weight, price, and functionality. It includes two pots, a skillet, pot lifter handle, pack towel, and lid, and weighs less than two pounds. Everything nests nicely, with enough room left inside to hold a folding stove and a lighter, which lets you get practically all of your cooking gear in one smallish container.

It's probably not the sort of thing you'd want to carry if you're using dehydrated food. Something like a personal cooking system is probably more suited for that, as the BlackLite is more work than should be necessary for just boiling water.

However, if you enjoy cooking actual food on the trail or at camp, this is a great set to use. The pots are large enough to cook for several people, and they heat evenly so your food doesn't burn in spots.

The only criticism I have about the set is the pot lifter handle sometimes scratches off the non-stick coating around the rim of the pots. It is unfortunate that no matter how tender you are with the set, the non-stick coating wears off just from normal use.

Overall, I'd say definitely a good set for a culinary camper.
