I purchased this jacket a few weeks ago because it looked good, and felt like it would prove to be warmer than my older Columbia Titanium.

It finally began to get cold here in Ottawa (Northeastern Canada) so I think I'm better able to review the product now.

Having worn it out, in the cold, for a few days now I am very happy with its performance. It's warm, it's comfortable, and it performs as advertised while looking great.

I especially like the extremely high collar. While it becomes a bit of a problem when trying to turn your head to talk to someone (half your face is completely covered) its amazingly effective at keeping wind, snow, and rain out of your jacket.

Another great thing about this jacket is that the liner consists of a North Face "Heat Seeker" jacket. A nice puffy synthetic jacket that lives up to it's name. It's warm, and comfortable, but still very light.

It's got vents in all the right places, a hidden mp3 player/cell phone pocket, a goggle pocket, and lift ticket clip.

If any of your are big skiers or snowboarders this jacket also features a RECCO avalanche rescue transmitter. Many of the big mountains/resorts now user this technology and it could save your life if you ever end up at the wrong end of an avalanche.

I'm told by the guys at the store that it's warm up to -20 Celsius on it's own, but considering that we regularly get -30 and colder temperatures here it may require some more layering (or a warmer liner) at times.

Overall this jacket has really impressed me. Drop by your nearest outdoor retailer and try it out.
