I post a Fly of the Month for the Middle Tennessee Fly Fishers Club in Nashville, TN. For the last several month's the local fly shops have contributed a fly exclusive to their fly shop. The club puts a photo and the recipe of the fly on the club's website for everyone to enjoy. I am posting Middle Tennessee Fly Fishers November Fly of the Month on Outdoorzy this month. If there are any other fly fishers or tiers out there, I hope you enjoy this fly pattern. I am including the post from the MTFF web site. This month's Fly of the Month is JT's Fall Clouser Minnow and has been brought to you by Fly South. You can visit Fly South at 1514 Demonbreum Street, Nashville, TN or call them at 615-251-6199. A message from Jim Mauries, Fly Fisherman and Owner of Fly South. This has been one of my most effective fall streamer patterns. It is a simple variation of a Clouser Minnow using materials that swim and come to life better than the original buck tail. The color mix is classic fall streamer colors, also amend the color to all white for a dead of winter and skipjack killer. JT's Fall Clouser Minnow: Hook: TMC 200R Sizes #6-10 Eyes: Small Red Dumbbell Eyes Underbody: Yellow or White - Finnish Raccoon or Artic Fox Tail Wing: Red Fox Tail or Body Flash: Root Beer Krystal Flash |
