This is a processed flint product and will work even when wet. According to the manufacturer, the Mini Firesteel will last for 1500 strikes and weighs less than an ounce. It is packaged with a lanyard and steel striker to keep the two items together. I use this as my primary method of firestarting in the backcountry and would recommend it to anyone. |
