I though I would have to wait until fall to give this thing a fair review. However, Colorado weather can be unpredictable and this Memorial Day weekend we were treated to snow, sleet, rain, and high winds. (As well as some beautiful 75 degree afternoons) I really like the material, besides being good in the wind and water resistant it was really comfortable. The material has a stretchy feel and is very soft against you skin. Soft enough to sleep in on nights when the down bag isn't enough. This would be a great piece for layering on cold days, and does really well by itself in a variety of conditions. I will be sure to pack this thing for any hiking, camping, rafting, spring skiing... well just about every thing I have coming up. Merrell advertises this piece as having an "adjustable drawcord for the perfect fit". Mine however was missing this key piece. Not sure what happened there, but it fits kind of like a Mu-mu around the waste. A highly fashionable, technical Mu-mu! |
