This pack is technically for Women but I failed to do my research until about a mounth after I bought it. However guys, it does not look girly and it is incredibly comfortable. No matter how much weight I pack it with, it still feels comfortable and light. On an overnight trip to the bottom of the Grand Canyon I used this pack and I had an abnormal amount of weight in it because I wanted to lighten some of the other people's packs in my party so that they would have a better and easier experience. I had all my stuff and alot of other peopls stuff and I still had no touble halling it. It of course has a sleeping bag compartment but the cool thing is that it has a trampoline style separator between the sleeping bag compartment and the body of the pack. I would recommend getting a compression sack for your sleeping bag because otherwise it isnt going to fit. There is not really a place for a ground pad, I am thinking about making some modifications to it so I can carry one because the ground was very hard at the bottom of the canyon and I wished I had one. You could attach it under the clip straps that connect the top of pack to the body but I used that for my tent. It is a great pack but if you are backpacking for more than a few days it isnt for you.
