Cheap, amazing little device that keeps you in contact with family and friends, tracks your progress, and can save your life by contacting emergency responders to your exact location. I am on a year long road trip at the moment and my family loves that when I am out of cell phone range I can still send them a pre-set message (mine says OK message...out of cell range...love ya). I Can't tell you how much comfort it give my mother to see one of those messages pop up on her cell phone. You can add up to 10 contacts that recieve your messages. Add your grandmother to that list and you have made her day. Hope to never use the 911 function...the SPOT hasen't been on the market long and has already saved a number of lives. When you first set up service you can get $100,000 of Emegency Rescue Insurance for only $7.99 for the year. This bad boy is fantastic and designed for all those Outdoorzies of the world! Comments
