Does Duct Tape really work for blisters? We've always used a micropore/zinc tape combination on hotspots to avoid blisters at all costs, in what manner do you apply duct tape?

If I'm hiking in a group I have to take a supply of instant coffee. Apparently until I've had "my breakfast" I'm just too much of a pain in the ar5e to even speak to.
