This was fun last year, I would recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it this year though.

yep, it was a good day. I will be on vacation this year or I would go back to claim first place. (I'm trying to work on my confidence).

Jerk... No seriously, abenson is a legend in this part of the country. He'll run just about any race, any time. He scares me.
abenson, what was attendance like last year? We may look into an Outdoorzy sponsorship and shower the good people there with bumper stickers, tshirts, and free gear if the crowd is decent.
I'm a lover, not a racer... --Wade

It was the inaugural year so there were less people than I expected. I bet around 30 of us started out together, some were on relays, the rest solo. There was a good little crowd at the finish line though. A lot of families showed up for support and they had a couple of sponsors, one being a bourbon sponsor. I think they are running this either at the beginning or the end of the bourbon festival down there.

I am working on planning the next Asbury College Adventure Challenge and will totally let you guys know about race day details. It's always a lot of fun. WE get about 40 teams of two to compete in the mt biking, canoeing, and trail running elements. We also add some team work initiatives that make for an interesting race.
anyway it will be this october in Wilmore KY (just outside of lex). I'd love to see you guys there. More info to come for sure.

Hi!! I'm new here.....and just getting ready to do the Bourbon City Challenge in Sept. (my first). I'm a Bardstown native. I was in the audience last year. Anyhow....I noticed you mentioned something about showing perhaps with a tent schwag....etc. The winners of last years relay are putting together a team.....so far about 10 (and growing) of us have joined. We will be the Buffalo Creek Crashers....jerseys printed with sponsers and all!! Any interest in being a sponsor of some sort?? Perhaps monitary....or schwag?? Just though I would throw it out there. We have a few....Bearno's pizza, Liquor World, Carey Signs, and a few private doners. We're hoping to make this a big year for this race. Carey signs is prividing banners of all the sponsers. We will have a tent in the main venue area. Regardless of any sponsorship....this is a great race to check out!!
