Here's something I've been doing for a few years that may be of use to anyone else who uses these homemade alcohol stoves. The problem with them is the lack of a pot stand. I use one of those folding Esbit stoves as a pot stand. The inside is the perfect size for holding the Pepsi can stove. When not in use, and I use the closed Esbit stove to hold my fire starter kit. I keep a lighter, flint striker, some waterproof matches, cotton balls, and two tea light candles inside it.
