When I moved to the mountains of SoCal, I needed to build a retaining wall to keep the seep springs from ruining my foundation. To save money, I did it myself w/ a pick ax & a kid with a wheelbarrow; I lost 25 lbs too!! During the construction, I sprinkled wildflower seeds in the bricks & a few years later, I have a garden of lupine, poppies, flax, daisies.
