so i decided to be the first to post anything under gardening.
but ya'll, cacti are the easiest plants to have. we have one from my great-grandmother that just keeps getting bigger and bigger so we split it up. now everyone in my family has some cactus. fascinating, i know. they make a super interesting gift though, because you're not going to forget someone who gave you a cactus.

I saw some cacti when I was in Moab. Not sure if I would want one though.

I like cacti. We had one at my parents house when I was a kid. It pricked me all the time, but something about it made me feel save. It was planeted just under our living room window. I always felt like nobody could break in that window because our our natural defense. I wasn't thinking of the other 15 windows we had, but hey, I was a kid.

I did some gardening today. Planted a dwarf juniper to cover an empty spot in our landscaping, and transplanted some hostas. Now hostas are plants that will grow just about anywhere and look great.

..and hostas don't have spines to prick you. So I guess I like them better than cacti.

hey wade...i'm not sure if anyone told you, but it is about time you learned. a cactus will not prick you unless you touch it...so don't...

Jmac-

did you manage to keep them out of your tires?

My cacti story involves topping a route out in Red Rock Open Space, CO. Pulled this little roof/mantle move right onto a cactus! It sucked!

Yeah, I never did run over any. Came close to it once though. That would have probably sucked.

You mean you aren't supposed to pet them like little bunnies??? Maybe that's where I was going wrong.

Well I guess that depends on how you pet your bunnies.
