pushing rubber all summer on the ark would be fun, but you'll probably get bored of running browns canyon pretty quickly! At least you would have some fun people to work with, and you can always mess with the geeks in your boat to keep yourself from getting to terrible bored.
i think BV would be a great town to live in for the summer. I don't know exactly what backcountry ranger for the CT would entail, but it sounds like a lot of sitting around to me.
