So its official, I'm going to Nepal. I've got the plane ticket in my hand right now. Cincinnati-Los Angeles-Bangkok-Kathmandu. It will be a doosy of a flight. It takes like two days.
I won a grant to travel for free and do some development work. I'll be building schools in rural Nepal as well as teaching english. I'll be in the high-country so it will be like my outdoorzy dream. Wake up- stare at the Himalayas'- then spend the day helping people! (maybe drink some tea in the hours in between!) Oh wait, and i get a cash stipend!
anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any tips or cool places to visit while I am over there. I'll be in Kathmandu for a few weeks. I've heard that is the place to cash in on cheap gear. I also hope to have some free time to go on adventures and stuff. Keep an eye out for the trip report
