Flashlights are my weak point...
Good Headlamp is irreplaceable when hiking in the dark.

Please share your suggestions and write down advices how should I choose the right headlamp, which brand is the good choice at the market?...

Well...any headlamp is better than no headlamp. But I would reccomend the Petzl Tikka Plus, it has 3 brightness settings, so you don't have to walk around in full police chopper search light if you don't need too, it's pretty light and around 30 -35 bucks, usd.

Not to mention it's Petzl, but Black Diamond lamps are really good as well.

But, if you're looking for a bit bulkier, but more intense lamp, check out the Apex from Princeton Tec. I have a lamp from them that has lasted me for years, up and back down El Cap, the Tetons, and under the car.

I love my old Black Diamond, it's got two settings, one with two low power LED's that lend about 14 hrs. of battery life and a much brighter lamp that gets about five hours but is quite powerful. When searching for a headlamp, pay attention to battery life if you're taking longer trips, and make sure to get something water/weatherproof - stuck in the rain with no light is a horrible situation!

Petzl, Black Diamond, and Princeton Tec are the top brands. I've never had a Black Diamond headlamp, but I have had teh Petzl and Princeton Tec brands. Both were great for me.

There are a few gear reviews on headlamps on the Gear page here. Maybe those will help.

i have the black diamond zenix

as well as the classic petzl one. I almost like the petzl one better because it has two settings, on and off. Its also smaller. I like to wear it around my neck when not using it, like say when sitting around the fire.

the BD one has some strong points tho, its nice to have different light settings to conserve power, or read a book at night without waking everyone in the whole campsite up. IT is nice to have the super high beam for exploring around camp... heck i sent my first 5.11 wearing this thing!
