Getting psyched for night one of the Banff film festival tomorrow night! First night is the mountain culture films. Missed them last year, so I'm very excited to see them this year.
Has anyone else seen the festival this year or is there anyone else planning on it?

I'd love to hear how it goes! I've always thought it sounded like a fun event. And if you get any links to trailers or anything put them up here if you don't mind so we can pretend we're there....

Here's the trailer for the festival itself:

And this was one of my favorites from last year!

Last years line-up for sports films included: [skiing] Anomaly, [mountain biking] ROAM , [white water yaking] The Epicocity Project, [Will Gadd ice climbing, on floating icebergs no less!] Aweberg and plenty of others that escape my mind at the moment. I was particularly impressed by The Epicocity Project. One of the best runs of the movie (in my humble opinion) is showcased in this photo.

Now thats some speed! Needless to say, thats the fastest I've ever seen a kayak travel.
