I just got knee surgery yesterday, and well the last thing I remember is the anesthesiologist telling me I will feel like I am "on a high" and that was it. Next thing I know I am awake and have this huge splint on my knee, which was not supposed to be there after surgery. Besides having 4 inches of scar tissues bundled up by my MCL and going underneath my kneecap and coming out right about my tibia, it was also stuck to my MCL. They had to cut a little to get the stupid scar tissue out, all from dislocating my knee cap. I am on like massive amounts of pain meds which is good, but as the Dr. said once I am healed I can go back to doing everything I love, which includes running for the first time in 6 years. Physical therapy is going to make me cry like a little baby, but its all good.
I guess I just want to say, with spring break arriving, and warmer months approaching us, take care of yourself and stretch before you do anything at all. SO IMPORTANT.
Back to bed for me.

I will have to put the pictures up, they are freaking amazing if I could only figure out how to work my scanner.

I know the pain of knee surgery. I was hit by a car about 5 years ago, and among other injuries, I shattered my knee cap and had to have it replaced. It sucked....bad.
Hope you heal up soon!

Let us know if you need a support team. Speaking for me at least, I'll provide whatever I can as morale boosters. Hope the healing goes well...

Bored? Achy? Limpy?
Leg schmeg! Get a mate to screw a fingerboard to the wall above your bedroom door, stick the ol' climbing harness on, and tie off to stop yourself decking out. Now you can spend the next eight weeks getting those forearms honed to perfection, whilst keeping your physio happy with your poorly knee "elevated". Bada-bing!
