There was a place in the little town at the base of Mt. Rainier. I just can't remember the damn places name now. But that had a 3 pound stack of pancakes, now THAT'S a lumberjack slam! BOOYAA.

If anyone know's what I'm talking about.

Wade, Here's two to consider too. Haha, like that literary usage? Two places in the New River Gorge...

1) Cathedral Cafe; Why? They have great coffee. Their wait staff is comprised of several very cute ladies who are always very amiable, super kind and always right there when you need something. Also, they're very 'outdoorzy' type friendly with their selection of veggie and vegan dishes. They serve up some great soups, hummus and pita bread. And imagine, you've been out rock climbing, mountain biking, rafting or kayaking all day and you need a place to park and refuel; what better than a huge cathedral converted to a coffee shop/restaurant right on Main St. of Fayetteville WV?

I agree. This was my first stop inside Fayetteville for something other than gas, and we had a great sandwich and drink there. The large map hanging on the wall is by a local cartographer and IIRC he sells them to those who call or e-mail. I forgot his number and addy, but they can provide it for you.

The outfitters up there has some great gear. It's next to the courthouse.

My vote is "The Egg and I" in Estes Park, CO. It is a great place to eat when after a few long nights of camping and climbing.

Dude,
with your love of microbrews, im quite surprised you didn't list southern or mountain sun as the restraunt to go to in boulder. One's on pearl street, and I think the other one is next to neptune mountaineering. They have awesome food too.

Sarcasm Endercore, sarcasm my friend.

Although that is a good Arby's.

And mountain sun kicks ass! They've got a ESB there that is absolutley divine after coming off the Red Garden Wall.

here's a couple more Wade: there's a berghaus on schessaplana on the ausro-swiss border that is great. hot food, amazing beer, and a place to sleep.
also, i can't remember the name but on the road to T-wall is a little BBQ place that rocks!
on a side not [don't lynch me]; i'm really not crazy about Miguel's. if you've been going there for a while, you'll have noticed that the quality has proportionately decreased with the increase of quantity and notoriety. i'm not opposed to miguel's by any means, but top ten around the country or world? really guys, consider the quality and lack of a wet county in this issue...
