I have some friends who have been,,, Ive been thinking about it for a while,,, here is what I have learned. book a flight from mexico or costa rica. staple a blank piece of paper in your passport and put a $100 in that page. get your stamps and when you get back to Mex, tear out that page.

Last spring when we were chillin at jakes in Jamaica (yep, same one from the Outdoorzy benefits page)we hung out with a British guy and American gal one afternoon who had just been to Cuba. He could go because he was British, but she had to go through another country. She had gone through Mexico as well.
Just do your homework dude. Being an Outdoorzy member gets you some cool discounts on gear and travel, but we can't bail you out of jail. --Outdoorzy does not endorse Americans traveling to Cuba.... However we do endorse traveling to Caribbean islands rich in history and culture that produce fine cigars, hot nights, and revolutionary minds.

Imagine if we all lived on these islands! Oh, the bliss. Add good strong rum, a light breeze and my Eagle's Nest Outfitters hammock into the mix and I'd certainly die happy.
I'm doing the homework and looking forward to such times...

I've done the research bro. It's do-able! But they say island life has an "isolation factor" that plays havoc on us Americans, who are used to roaming wherever we want.
Of course the "Rum Factor" counters that sometimes...

We that's easy. Learn to sail. see the world on less than a tank of gas, I made a good life of it for 2 years after school. Isolation factor what? Instead of a roadtrip, take a watertrip.

If you havent finalized it, I suggest Windjammer... we did a week-long cruise with them and its very laid back. You get to visit multiple islands. And you get to hang out on an old pirate-like sail boat. They even let you walk the plank.
Dude, awesome stuff!!!
