Hi Everyone - Just wanted to say hello, and introduce myself. My username is Happiegrrrl, and I frequent the climbing sites so frequently...that in real life a lot of people now call me Happie instead of my real name. Makes me so glad I lucked out when making that username decision back when I was a n00b....
Anyway, I'm looking forward to participating in this site, making new friends, and maybe getting out there and doing some stuff. Winter's here in the northeast US and I need a cold weather activity.
Here's my blog and here's my online t-shirt shop.

The climbing IN New York City is....not so much. There's some bouldering in Central Park, and a few rock gyms, one of which costs $50 for a day pass(not a typo - Chelsea Piers). There's TONS of options if you're into buildering, of course.....
The Gunks is 90 minutes north of NYC, and I go up there every weekend, in season. With no car. With a dog in tow.
The best thing about NYC climbing is - the airports. Get on a plane and you can get to just about any climbing destination in a non-stop flight.... hahaha.
Here's my blog and here's my online t-shirt shop.
