So we need rain, but next semester I hope to have it. Any suggestions for good white water around the Lexington area?

good whitewater?

you've got your decent local creeks... elkhorn, jessamine county stuff, madison county stuff, but I'd say the coolest stuff relatively close by is either at the rockcastle, cumberland, big south fork, or russell fork.

when it rains, call me and will hit something up.

Yeah I've paddled Elkhorn several times and it's good when the water's good. We paddle the Gasper River near Bowling Green Ky when it rains REALLY good. See the trip report from this past weekend on the home page.

Those two don't get above class III at best. But thats all I need.

Thanks guys. Now we just need rain and anything above a class III, yeah..
