How was your Timberland working?
I find Asolo pretty nice, but I wear Salomon and they are great. I like changes, and just 2 weeks ago have purchased Merrell's shoes, they are perfect and I am going to buy boots too.

Timberlands have a lifetime warranty, so I would say go for it. Seriously, I had a pair while in college and I wore them for a few years before they totally fell apart and I didn't think it was their duty to send me a new pair so I didn't take them up on the warranty. They were waterprrof until they started cracking, but that took a couple of years.

Hey all thanks for the input on the boots. I bought them and so far am only moderately impressed. I'll take a pic of them and post a gear review shortly, I want to test them on rock scrambling and to date I have only done trail hikes in wet/dry and hot/cold conditions.
