I am an avid outdoorsman who spends most of his time in Eastern Canada and NE States. Someday I hope to expand my travel resume but for now am very happy raising my son and hiking/backpacking trails and bushwhacking down rivers for the odd Brook Trout. Would love to hear from others in my area with some alternate trail experience.

My husband and I live and hike in the Adirondack Mountains, NY. There are MANY hikes in the almost forgotten State Park. Being that you do a lot of hiking in Canada, I am assuming that if you have gotten down to NY you have morethan likey hiked in the "High Peaks Region". So I am going to suggest looking up the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness Area. From the Northway (I-87) exit 28, drive south on NY9 for 0.6 mile and turn left, east, on Alder Meadow Road. After passing East Shore Road, on the right at 2 miles, the road continues as Crane Pond Road. It is a very pretty drive east, passing a lovely farm shortly before angling south at 4.5 miles. Park on the east side of the road at the turn.

I'm more of a climber than a hiker, can I still say 'Hi'?

The gorge is a small river in SE New Brunswick called Falls Brook. Great bouldering, climbing, fishing, camping and hiking area. I call that pic Gods Hands.

Hey a fellow Canadian, I don't see to many of us on here. Let's hope we can build it up some.
