I did it last year, but my partner does not want to do it this year so I'm out.

Not sure what to do with the kids while we race, otherwise totally interested.
It's 3 1/2 hours from our house, so we'd probably leave the night before the race and either camp or hotel it.

It's a really fun race. We did well on the canoe section last year, then the MTB section kicked our butts and the trail run wasn't too bad. Well organized though.
wkumtrider, You may have a partner if you want to contact Elizabeth. She was interested in doing it.

Jmac and I are planning on going, we're gonna kill it this year! I love the summer heat, but I actually got dizzy yesterday on a ride. Hope it cools down a little before the race.

Nice, I'll see if I can register tomorrow (payday!). I think a late Sept race will be MUCH better than the triple digits we've had here the past several weeks.
Are you guys driving the day of? Camping? or hotel-ing?

I rode today and felt like crap after the ride. I may have had a slight heat stroke or heat exhaution. I don't under stand why? It was only 102 today.

Heat exhaustion. Heat stroke is when your body basically shuts down. Safety Safety
