Hey all. I was reading an article about a guy that was traveling across the Greenlandic Arctic and one of his means of travel was using a kite to pull him across the snow and ice. Does anyone know of any manufacturers of these types of kites? Has anyone used these types of kites?

Be safe!

I have heard of something similar. I was reading something on the internet the other night about kayak fisherman using kites to travel up wind. They were rigging some type of rope system to the kayak and the the kite was rigged to the rope system. The article mentioned they were just using kites intended for kite surfing. I don't know if that helps. But you might try and search for that on the web.

Saw some guys in a canoe with one.
Then they went over.
Good thing they had life jackets on.
